Andy Frankel

Andy spent the first four years of his professional life in the United States Air Force, working as an electrician on F-16 fighter jets. After his military service, in 1997, Andy began working in the electronic payments space and ultimately became a key member of a company that was acquired by a large processor in the mid-2000s. Several years later, Andy followed his entrepreneurial spirit, founding and becoming CEO of an ISO that grew to over $50 million in annual revenue with 70+ employees. He has led companies through start-up, survival, turnaround, and growth phases. That company later became part of a sale to a publicly traded company in the summer of 2021. Andy joined Appstar in 2024 as President, bringing with him more than 25 years of merchant services experience. Andy’s understanding of sales and operations is a rare find in the payments space and has been a driving force in his success.
